metaflow software (currently in development)
Metaflow facilitates in the collaboration of staff, customers and management on various types of company processes and projects.
Metaflow differs from existing 'project management' applications in ease of use and effectiveness from the front-line staff level to the executive team.
Application Goals:
- Increase:
- Overall accountability of everyone involved in a project or process.
- Timeliness and availability of information regarding a project or process.
- Effectiveness of staff through detailed task assignment.
- Efficient management.
- Accuracy of project or process time estimates by utilizing 'big picture' views of past and current projects.
- Efficiency of document storage (faxes, quotations, diagrams, etc.) by attaching them to tasks for central location and storage.
- Decrease:
- Amount of oral communication regarding assignments, status of work, etc.
- Amount of mistakes and misinformation based on centrally located data and tracking of all task activity.
- Amount of management time required based on availability of summarized status reports.
- Time between the completion of one step and the beginning of another through e-mail alerts and instant task assignment after predecessor tasks have been completed.
- Provides:
- Feedback on more accurate future project estimates based on trends (projected durations vs. actual durations).
- Feedback on employee performance based on trends in projected assignment duration vs. actual duration.
- Means for rapid deployment of future projects and procedures.
